2025 Los Angeles Fires
Los Angeles Fires (2025)
Part of the Global Warming Awareness Poster Series
Design by Gianluca Franzese
The hills ignited. Smoke blanketed the skyline. Los Angeles became a silhouette behind the flames.
This poster captures the 2025 wildfires that swept through Los Angeles — a haunting sign of California’s deepening vulnerability in the face of global warming. Once seasonal, these fires have become annual catastrophes, transforming the landscape and testing the resilience of entire communities.
The design features a stark silhouette of the LA skyline engulfed by layered bands of smoke and flame, rendered in bold, historically inspired graphics. The composition echoes early 20th-century Italian manifesto art, repurposed here to convey climate urgency. The result is both symbolic and immediate — a visual siren for a future already arriving.
It’s a visual record of a real climate disaster — an image designed to hold space for what happened, and what’s still happening.
Each piece is a reminder that these events didn’t come out of nowhere, and they won’t be the last — unless we remember.
Printed on synthetic 4533 press, this poster benefits from enhanced durability and color vibrancy. The synthetic 4533 press technology uses advanced printing techniques to ensure that the colors remain vivid and the material withstands various environmental conditions, making it ideal for long-term display and preservation.
