I recently rediscovered some gems from a few years ago – two Series works on paper created in limited editions of two, tucked away in my flat files. These pieces represent the original ideas proposed for a 65 ft high mural at the Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park. I have now decided to make these editions available as works on paper in my shop.
"The Algorithmic Spiral" is a symbolic representation of the symbiotic relationship between art and technology. It prompts contemplation on the enduring impact of these forces, highlighting their role as constants in our ever-changing lives. Through this visual journey, I aim to inspire reflection on the intricate tapestry woven by the interplay of creativity, innovation, and the unstoppable march of progress. Each color represents different aspects of our digital world—blue for connectivity, red for innovation, orange for data, and gold for artificial intelligence. As they move around the circle, they show the constant evolution of technology.
Each limited edition consists of two works on paper, adorned with aluminum leaf, silver leaf, 12k white gold, and 18k gold leaf with acrylic glazes on gesso Fabriano paper, measuring 19'' x 19'' each. This marks the first set of two, and they are one-of-a-kind limited editions, numbered and signed by the artist. Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing its provenance. Remember, this is not a print; it's the original in an edition of two.
