This piece revisits the haunting silence of a subway shut down by rising water — a real scene from New York during Hurricane Sandy.

Wrapped in caution tape, the 42nd Street station is rendered against a backdrop of chaotic clouds in brown and pink. The design references NYC’s familiar transit graphics while underscoring how climate change now shapes even our most ordinary spaces.

It’s a visual record of a real climate disaster — an image designed to hold space for what happened, and what’s still happening.
Each piece is a reminder that these events didn’t come out of nowhere, and they won’t be the last — unless we remember.
